Description

The Research Center for the Development of Coffee Regions (in Spanish, CENIDERCAFE) of the Autonomous University of Chapingo is made up of professors-researchers who, through a joint effort, develop projects aimed at generating viable solutions for the technical, productive, social, economic, cultural and ecological challenges of rural Mexico. This is achieved through processes of linkage and exchange of knowledge. The center is consolidated into three main lines of research. The first focuses on sustainable technological development, prioritizing the efficient management of natural resources. The second addresses the productive chains of the coffee-growing regions, integrating each stage of the process, from production to consumption. Finally, the third line of research focuses on productive diversification as a key strategy to strengthen the resilience of coffee-growing communities in the face of economic and climate changes. This compilation of the most recent advances in research and contributions in various areas of knowledge, with the aim of promoting the development of innovative research and the creation of synergies between different disciplines. Through the integration of new perspectives and methodological approaches, we seek to strengthen ongoing studies, optimize their impact and stimulate the emergence of new research initiatives. In addition, an interdisciplinary approach is promoted that encourages collaboration between researchers, students, producers, organizations and other key actors in the sector.
